Sailing from Florida to Bahamas on our Seawind 1600 - The Adventure Begins! | Harbors Unknown Ep. 27

After years of research, planning and hard work, the adventure is beginning! We’re leaving Ft. Lauderdale for the Bahamas. First stop, Bimini. Crossing the Gulf Stream this time of year isn't a problem as long as the wind isn't blowing from anywhere in the north. The island is just 50 nautical miles from Ft. Lauderdale, yet another world entirely. Crystal clear water, in varying shades of blue, white sand beaches, days spent snorkeling with sharks and sting rays. Join us as we finally arrive in this stunning, natural playground and begin our next act as liveaboard cruisers.

If you’re interested in more detail about the crossing to Bimini check out our Log Book Blog.
