Hand steering for 3,000 nautical miles across the Pacific is something no sailor wants to face but here we are. An autopilot on the fritz, a tear in the spinnaker, and other worn parts have us working hard to keep up. But morale remains high and we keep our eyes on the prize, the lush island of Nuku Hiva in French Polynesia.
