CHALLENGES at Sea SAILING to PANAMA (Unexpected Detour) | Harbors Unknown Ep. 70

We have been working on getting boat insurance for the past month and we finally secured a policy that fit our budget. Within two hours we fired the engines and were on our way to PANAMA!!! We were so excited to officially kick off our voyage sailing around the world! We had two weeks to get to Panama before hurricane season, so we needed to move. The conditions were certainly not the greatest with wind and current right on our nose, and a narrow sailing area between the shallows of the Bahama Bank and the shipping lane off the coast of Cuba, but we made the best of it. Just when we were about to round the bend of the eastern edge of Cuba, we faced a huge challenge and needed to decide whether to continue on or stop at the nearest port. Watch now to see what happened!
