From SQUALLS to SERENITY: Sailing Upwind to Marquesas [part 2]

On our upwind journey to the Marquesas for cyclone season we hunkered down in Tikehau, a tiny atoll in the Tuamotus, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, waiting for squally weather to pass. It gave us time to reflect and see these moments for what they are, not interruptions, but life, real and raw. The delay became a way to learn: it's not about where you go, it's about how you live when you are there. The weather soon changed, and a brief break in the storms gave us a chance to sail 165 miles east to Fakarava, one step closer to the Marquesas. Join us as we navigate not only the sea, but life itself.
