Sailing the DANGEROUS ARCHIPELAGO with DELOS 😬⛵️

We’re sailing 175 miles from Raroia to Fakarava in the Tuamotus, historically known as the Dangerous Archipelago. But first we have to navigate the bommie-filled lagoon. The challenge of sailing between atolls is you have to traverse each pass at slack tide, so our timing needs to be precise otherwise we risk running into racing currents and up to 9 foot standing waves. Fortunately we’re sailing alongside Delos and given their experience we feel our plan has been validated. Though, a hiccup with our spinnaker leaves us moving slower than expected. Join us for the adventure to see what happens!
