SURVIVING on Coconuts and Crab?! OFF-GRID Boat Life

Could you survive on coconuts and crab?! If you were stuck in a remote atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, that may be your only option. Most of the fish in the lagoon have Ciguatera so eating them is like a game of Russian roulette. It’s rumored lobsters climb over the outer reef into the lagoon around the full moon, but we only saw one dead lobster. But there are plenty of coconuts and land crabs. After traversing Raroia’s bommie filled lagoon we anchored near a boat that was in fact stuck after a series of very unfortunate events, and the couple did survive on coconuts and crab, which made us ponder whether we could embrace the opportunity to live humbly and learn lessons that can only be taught by nature.
