Some passages are easy. Others? They have a reputation for being brutal.

After months exploring Fiji, this is our final sail to Vuda Marina before we leave Wanderlust and Yoda behind and fly to the U.S. for the first time in over two years. But when we return, the real challenge begins. With cyclone season closing in, we’ll have just a short window to prepare the boat, stock up on provisions, and get Yoda cleared before setting sail on a 1,200-nautical-mile passage to New Zealand—one of the most unpredictable crossings in the world.
