Now that we’re back at the dock in Ft. Lauderdale we’re in full on project mode. With just 6 weeks before the start of hurricane season we need to wrap these repairs up as quick as possible and start sailing south.

We are sailing to the Abacos in the Bahamas! We've got great wind, but it's a bit tricky because it's coming pretty much from where we want to go. So we need to sail upwind in the narrow Sea of Abaco in our catamaran. Join us as we navigate these waters and dive the reef off Green Turtle Cay.

Last time we left off we were troubleshooting an issue with our autopilot. Thanks to some viewers, Chris from Just Catamarans, and Fabio’s persistence, we adjusted some settings and it appeared to be working. So we decided to take a leap of faith, leave for the Bahamas and handle whatever repairs are needed along the way.

Yup, we're still tied to the dock this week. After working on the steering system we attempted the dockside calibration of our B&G autopilot and it is not working properly.

We are SO CLOSE yet so far from sailing off into the sunset. This week we continue tackling projects like inspecting the mast, Gori folding propellers and figure out how to get our life raft into the storage locker under the boat. For the past few weeks we've been sailing Maine and this week we’re enjoying boat life at its best on Mount Desert Island in protected Northeast Harbor. The quintessential Maine experience.

This week we continue exploring Nantucket Island, off the coast of Massachusetts, then sail our Seawind 1600 catamaran 60 nautical miles back to Rhode Island for some boat work in not the greatest of conditions. We visit Bartlett’s Farm, which has been on the island for over two hundred years, and grows boat loads of fruits and vegetables for the island’s residents. We loved chatting with Keegan about his family’s business.

We left the mooring in Jamestown planning to sail our Seawind 1600 catamaran 60 nautical miles to Nantucket. Little did we know Newport wasn’t quite ready to see us go. The fog blanketed the bay so densely we could barely see in front of the boat. So we turned around and gave it a go the next day.

7 months. We’ve been living aboard our catamaran Wanderlust for 7 months. It has been a period of adjustment. Learning, discomfort, growth, frustration, joy, accomplishment and excitement for the adventure that’s right around the corner.

Boat Life. Adventure, travel, excitement. And also regular, everyday routines, especially while we’re still in Ft. Lauderdale at the dock. But in about 2 and a half months that will all change.
